  1. If you had 2 hours to digitally induct students into institutional systems and to kick start making them Digitally Literate in the Academic context, what would you cover in this 2 hour session


    1. I think it is important to dedicate more sustained time to this aspect. Maybe start with a 20 minutes exploring session where students can tinker with 3 tools that can do the same task, i.e. managing references. I would start with having a discussion about why managing references is important and what are the rules for it, maybe remembering what it implies if we do it manually (without a tool) and then show the advantages and affordances of 3 different tools (Mendeley, Zotero, Colwiz) and then I would do with students a practical exercise with one of their assignments. I would tell them in advance of the session to bring one assignment they are working on so they can use that to do a practical exercise. That would be one session. Less is more I think! I hope it helps 🙂
